IVAR Now Accepting Nominations for 2014 Board of Directors and President-Elect

We are once again reaching out to members interested in helping to lead IVAR by serving with me and my colleagues on our Board of Directors.

Under the leadership of our volunteer Board of Directors and many others who have helped formally and informally on committees and special projects, IVAR has emerged in the past few years to become one of the top REALTOR organizations in California and beyond. We have lowered fees, improved services to members, helped to foster a growing network of real estate professionals and become a leading voice in public policy for our region.

The strength of our organization is built on the dedication of leaders who have emerged from among our members. I'd like to take this opportunity to ask you to join that leadership team.

IVAR is now accepting nominations for the 2014 Board of Directors and 2014 President-Elect. All positions are ultimately determined through a vote of the membership of IVAR, which is scheduled for the month of June. REALTORS HAVE A CHOICE

Since 1996, REALTORS® have been allowed to exercise their "board of choice" option allowing them to decide which local association of REALTORS® they want to join. Previously, members were forced to join associations based on a geographic assignment. In short, it was dictated what association members must belong to.

Moving beyond this old mandate, business competition now plays a key role in what association a REALTOR® member belongs to. Accordingly, associations are forced to compete for members by offering value-added services that are priced right.

IVAR's leadership understands this issue and has made a commitment to increase member services while also decreasing dues. We can come to your office and provide many on-site services, including:

  • Processing new REALTOR® membership applications at your office by appointment.
  • Issuing Supra active-Keys, Smart Phone e-Key programming, selling iBoxes, providing technical support, changing shackle codes, and pin codes at your office location.
  • Attend office meetings informing agent on current IVAR news, benefits, MLS information, including Supra.
  • Field support with iBox (keysafe) problems for REALTOR® members.
  • Demonstrating the tools of the trade and or ZipForms® software to each REALTOR® member. (ZipForms®6 C.A.R. certified trainer)
  • Demonstration on navigating the IVAR, C.A.R., and N.A.R. website.
  • Providing information regarding your REALTOR® dues, benefits, and discounts IVAR has to offer.
