Legal Q & A's/Legal Briefs -- C.A.R.
Legal Services offer memoranda in question and answer format
on over 150 subjects falling into over 50 categories. Legal
Briefs are short, two to three pages, while the Q&A's
provide more detailed coverage of legal subjects and can be
ten pages or more. Topics range from lead paint disclosure
and REO sales requirements to arbitration and fair housing.

Automated Legal Information System
(ALIS) -- C.A.R. members can access tape-recorded
legal information 24 hours a day on over 200 subjects and
hot topics of interest to REALTORS®.
Through the use of a phone,
REALTORS® can get information around the clock on
disclosures, referral fees, C.A.R. purchase agreement
clauses and more. The list of topics is also available on

Realegal(TM) Legal Updates by
E-mail -- Realegal(TM) is the new
electronic legal information service for members of the
California Association of REALTORS®. C.A.R. will be sending
out e-mails containing breaking legal information and legal
prevention tips to those who have an e-mail address on file
with C.A.R. You will receive short versions of important
legal developments as they unfold, conserving your valuable
time.

Risk Management Institute
Staying informed and current on issues
affecting the real estate industry is important in
minimizing risk and exposure to legal liability. The Risk
Management Institute (RMI) is a subscription service
providing a broad spectrum of products and services to keep
you continuously informed of key legal business topics. RMI
conveniently packages a monthly newsletter along with other
timely risk management information into a monthly mailing to
its subscribers who are among the first to learn such things
as when a new disclosure obligation has been imposed, when a
court case sets a new precedent for brokerage operations, or
